Read MoreI sat on this one for a couple of days before posting. I’ve been getting my nails done for a long time and I can honestly say I’ve rarely been this disappointed. Decided to try this place since the reviews were great and it was closer than my other salon. I called Monday morning asking for an appointment for dip for that afternoon. The woman who answered the phone wasn’t rude, just rushed, and didn’t even take my name for the appointment - okay fine, not a problem. I show up at my allotted time and both people working were doing pedicures. Again, fine - not a big deal. I waited for a few minutes and the woman came to ask what I had on my nails - dip, I told her. She proceeded waive me to her station to start taking my dip off with acetone and cotton wrapped in foil. She let one mail sit for MAYBE 30 seconds before taking off the foil and trying to get the dip off - nowhere near enough time. So it turned into a huge mess that took twice as long as you’d expect. Then she started my color - black. Huge mistake. She didn’t use any base/clear powder, she BARELY filed or shaped them (and never asked what shape I liked before I volunteered the information) and was not careful with the dip application. My nails are a mess. They are crooked at the top and uneven on the sides. The dip is messy and super thick. Most nails have peaks and valleys. I’ve tried to work on them over the past few days but only seem to feel worse about them. After my nails were done, she didn’t even use lotion - she just squirted some cuticle oil on my hand. She didn’t rub it in - I had to wipe my hands on my pants so it didn’t get all over my wallet. In the end, I paid more than I normally do for a product I was not happy with. Usually I try to communicate directly with the business to make things right before a review, but I am honestly scared to go back. They get two stars mainly because they were polite and the salon was clean.
