They told me that my scars aren't bad enough for the attorney to want to help me recover the bills from the ER visit after I was wrongfully bitten. This is a strict liability state, but it still doesn't seem to be worth their time to help you recover anything if they can't ask for some large amount for something else, like emotional distress. I didn't ask for that, just my bills to be paid by the dog's owners.
Stay away from this firm. It feels like, to me, they only want people who can get them large amounts for issues that can't be argued against, like something emotional. Actual physical damages don't matter, and neither does the strict liability laws.
EDIT upon their reply, I was told in my email "The attorney has reviewed your pictures, and screening questions. Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you with your claim. Thank you for your time, Krizia" This, to me, indicates that my scars aren't bad enough for them to help. I have physical damages, and financial damages. I am entitled to compensation, but they don't think it's enough for them to want to help. Their reply doesn't include me being unemployed an unable to go to a doctor due to the financial issues. This is the reason why only the ER visit. I can't find a doctor willing to see me in my unemployment. This is why I need help recovering the financial damages.
