Who you chose as representation in a family trial is a very personal decision. You should NOT base your decision on Google reviews alone. That said, I will provide my personal opinions/experience of Antolinez Miller in my basic/non-contested divorce.
Full disclosure, I was referred to Antolinez Miller by my EAP (Employee Assistance Program). I called Mr. Antolinez and decided to go with his firm based on the 28+ years experience in family law, as well as his small case load. I have a unique perspective because the ex used a large family lawyer and was buried amongst their lawyer's large case load almost the entire time.
Mr. Antolinez has a very straightforward personality. If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy, shoulder to cry on lawyer, he may not be for you. Note you will pay a premium for your lawyer to also act as a therapist. I am a admitted control freak, meaning I want to know all the details of the case, the plan moving forward and expected outcome. You will not get this from Mr. Antolinez. Note, you will pay a premium for your lawyer to communicate each step in the process, each part of the plan. A good lawyer WILL NOT tell you their expected outcome. Judges and former spouses are human beings and inherently flawed, and trying to predict outcomes is a futile practice that will almost always lead to disappointment. If you hire Mr. Antolinez, you MUST trust the process. He will not always let you know what he is thinking or why, but once I let go of control and let him do his thing, the outcomes fell right in line with where they needed to be.
Mr. Antolinez does not advertise on billboards or primetime TV. You will not likely hear his name around the watercooler or at church. I would likely not have found him if I wasn't referred to him by my EAP.
I got the outcome I wanted at a very affordable cost. He will not jive with most people, but he did NOT waste my money and did not cost me an arm and a leg.
Divorce is a very traumatic experience. Having to spend money on a stranger to work with you to determine your short and long term livelihoods is very difficult and very personal decision.
My advice is take your time and don't feel rushed. Most lawyers will provide a 30 minute free consultation prior to being hired. Write down a list of questions you have and ask each lawyer the same questions until you find someone who feels like the right fit. Don't be like me and hire the first lawyer you speak to. That said, if you are looking for a no nonsense lawyer who won't waste your time and money and won't stroke your ego or give you a shoulder to cry on then maybe Mr. Antolinez is for you.
Thank you Sir for your hard work and for giving it to me straight. I never want to go through this experience ever again, but if I do, you have helped set my expectations and I now know that this could've cost me a lot more if you didn't keep me in line.
