I hired Celia Crawford-Bruneau to do a Special Needs Trust for me based on her stating she had expertise in this area. This trust did nothing to protect my inheritance from Social Security. I ended up having to close and disperse all funds payable back to Social Security.
My mother also hired her to change her trust. Celia made errors in the trust and when we brought this to her attention, she charged my mother $200. to make the corrections. I contacted her about this and she ignored me, never responding.
I do not recommend this attorney.
Now I've found out of another huge error she made in my mother's trust. Specifically, after she calculated the percentages to go to myself and two siblings, which was a matter of simple addition and division which she calculated inaccurately and charged my mom to fix, she also inaccurately worded the right of representation. She correctly worded that my sisters inheritance would go onto her children and subsequently onto her children's children. That is the correct wording. But with mine and my brothers, she stopped it at our children. So should our children predecease us, it will not carry over to their children, mine and my brothers grandchildren. How in one paragraph she could do the wording absolutely incorrectly is shocking to me. I wish I had of realized this earlier. Now, at this time, I'm sure she wouldn't correct this for no charge. It's evident she clearly made the mistake.
