Seemed classier than expected. Was asked if we had any dietary restrictions & even offered a lunch special from the waitress Ashley who provided excellent service, the whole team actually... Not once did my tea run dry & it's was a packed house for lunch, even on a Tuesday. The seating is a little tight, like you can tell that they added extra tables to try to get as many in as possible & you will share the same back bench as someone at the table 2 feet from you if you get a both & several times, the people sitting at the tables had to excuse each other for bumping while getting up. Did not speak to a manager during the meal, but saw someone official counting seats as if to seat more guests that were waiting. Definitely not the place to grab a quick bite on lunch hour. Pace was a little slow, but we did order a bowl of chili as an app along with the Queso Blanco w/ Waygu beef added. Chips were nice n thin, queso didn't taste like Velveeta, topped with Pico n chives & the beef was a nice touch, not too spicy either. The chili was worth it. Had that 1 & ½ day flavor profile development. Had shredded pieces of beef & not too heavy on the beans, had more flavor than spice/heat. While I didn't order them, the Onion Rings at the table beside me were HUGE. The Waygu Burger was thin, but since it was a double it balanced out. Only got 1 & ½ pieces of bacon, but I ordered extra bacon jam to make up for it, I also added a BBQ sauce which came in one of those cute sauce cups that you could pour a little onto each bite, but the spicy ketchup they advertised was not all that. The flavor brought me back to what a hamburger should taste like. The grilled Barbacoa Grilled Cheese was that right level of crunch, but you could tell they forgot it on one side. The Barbacoa itself tasted like it gets used in the chili past day 1. Fries were nice, hand-cut, golden crispy, seasoned right.
