The staff is friendly and delivers great customer service, providing a welcoming vibe to the restaurant.However, this eatery is all spectacle with no substance as the food lacks authentic flavor to the Mexican culture. The tortilla chips are unsalted and plain, which complemented the salsa that was so thin it might as well had been pico de gallo in tomato juice. I ordered the chimichanga (according to the menu they're famous for) and was disappointed as well. The Spanish rice was dry and chewy, and the housemade red sauce lacked any sort of Hispanic heat or spice, making it beyond mild. This coincidentally made it very easy to discover the shredded beef lacked any spices denoting Mexican flavor, having the taste more akin to a pot roast rather than a slow cooked Mexican beef. You could have a more flavorful experience from your home spice cabinet or a jar of Taco Bell mild sauce.Paradiso is a restaurant that seems to promise good quality Mexican dishes and falls very short of in that regard; which is unfortunate considering the amazing staff and building. In my opinion this restaurant is "Muy Gringo."
