Read MoreOn this chilly, dark day with thunder and lightening across the PNW, I needed some good hot homemade soup. Comfort food ASAP. So I hit the ol' GrubHub and searched for "soup & sandwich" and La Salsa popped up! YES! Pozole! I can't find any Mexican restaurants who have pozole on the menu! I usually just make it at home. This was perfect. I decided to give them a try and let me tell you what! I have a new favorite place for authentic Mexican comfort food. They had NUMEROUS original, traditional, authentic Mexican dishes on the menu that you just can't find other places. Not the typical (American favorites) choices. I love that. And to make it better the tortillas are handmade fresh, and you can tell. They are heavenly. The pozole was fresh and so satisfying. The Torta Oaxaquena was to die for!! The bread was crispy and the topping fresh and flavorful. Not sure what the meat was becasue the GrubHub didn't allow for making a choice, although it said there were 3 choice possible. Either way it was wonderful and rich in flavors and spices. I also got the Costilla En Chipotle in fresh handmade tortilla: out of this world!!
