I started my awful experience with KP Gunworks back in July to order a suppressor.
After paying and providing fingerprints to KP Gunworks, I was told that it could be a few months for suppressor to arrive from Silencershop.
From August '24 until this last month (January) I called (over 60 times) and emailed. I never received a copy of a confirmation email when KP Gunworks ordered from Silencershop. When I inquired, I received vague responses, staff attempting to play friendly, and general lack of communication. I had to reach out to the store to gain the vaguest update. Even when I sent KP Gunworks alternative sites that showed the suppressor as in stock, they ignored the suggestion.
I did not cancel my order as KP Gunworks kept telling me every month that it was arriving soon.
I called KP Gunworks each week and they finally said that the suppressor should be arriving on Friday 1/24. I called and they said that there was a delay with shipping due to weather. I was reasonably suspicious and asked for some proof as I felt this was another ruse on their part, to claim the suppressor was arriving without providing any confirmation of order. I was met with hostility and excuses that they can't share tracking info (as though I would try and steal from a delivery service).
I stated that if the suppressor did not arrive on Tuesday, I would cancel my order and asked for my fingerprints, along with any invoices showing my purchases (at this point I only had a paper receipt).
I had to call on Tuesday morning despite their assurances they would call me when it arrived with Kenny acting condescending and had the audacity to say that he was frustrated with me calling while wanting to make sure a suppressor I had paid for was arriving. Kenny said it was arriving that afternoon and I further reiterated that if it did not arrive, I was going to cancel my order.
I called that afternoon, to see if it arrived. In my disbelief, I was told it had finally arrived. This prompted a request for an email confirmation stating that it had arrived and an invoice reflecting what I had paid. Kenny was rude, hostile, and even seemed to try and gaslight me that he, "could find 50 people within a day to come and buy the can if I wanted to cancel." I asked him to verbally clarify with me on the phone, whether he was refusing to send me an invoice, to which his response was, "We don't typically do that". I told him I would be in later that week to complete form 4.
An hour later, I received an email that my suppressor had arrived and he FINALLY sent me an invoice. As a business, it is state law to provide invoices to customers.
I completed the form 4 and a few days later, I was approved. I went to KP Gunworks on Saturday Feb 1 to pick up my suppressor. Turns out the store was closed. There was no heads up on social media or email.
I decided I would head down the following weekend and called repeatedly on Saturday - there was no response or any update on a voicemail, social media, or email. Though, there was a reddit thread (customers having to update each other instead of the actual business) and they were having odd hours for some reason. Someone wrote in that thread that they managed to get a hold of someone the day before and they were open.
I drive over an hour and call repeatedly once again- no response. They are closed. I was pissed. A business fails to do something as basic as put out a notice that they are closed - whether it's social media, an email, or even a voice mail. The owners of this shop lack the basic understanding of professionalism & communication.
Dealing with this company has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with any small business. From the shady business practices, condescending attitude, lack of professionalism, failing to keep paying customers updated, or even cc'd on emails, to doing something as fundamentally basic as keeping the public updated on your random hours - I don't grasp how this terrible company stays in business. Maintaining integrity is not a priority from this company *checkout yelp
