Let me start by saying this review is not really accurate to Dr. Hunter per say as my interaction with her was very minimal. It's more about the Office staff. I made an appointment in August for November as I knew I was changing Primary Care Physicians. In October I called the office to inquire as to the procedure to get my records transferred over to Dr. Hunter from former PCP. The person told me to just call my former PCP office and they will send it over. I knew that was not right but I decided to entertain it anyway. I called the other PCP office and of course that was not the procedure due to HIPAA. The former PCP office called Summit Health to get it straightened out and kept me posted until completion. (Red flag#1). November comes, I arrive to the appointment 10 min early to fill out anything if needed. I go to check in, tell my name and the Dr. I am here to see. The receptionist tells me, "Dr. Hunter isn't in today". My mouth drops open in shock and confusion. She then asks "no one called you?" I replied "No. If someone called me do you think I'd be standing here". (Red flag#2). So she says she will have to reschedule my appointment and she did. Fast fwd 2 weeks, I arrive to the rescheduled appointment. I'm here for a physical so I know what is supposed to happen or at least what I am accustomed to. The assistant comes in and check my vitals. She tells me to put the gown on. She then comes back and says you can take the gown off, because we are not going to do the EKG. (Red flag #3). Dr. Hunter comes in, she too knows I'm there for a physical. She explains they can't draw my blood because I didn't fast. I replied informed her, her staff shouldn't have "rescheduled" my appointment for 3pm knowing I was getting a physical with bloodwork. (Red flag#4). After none of the major things were accomplished, the exam with Dr. Hunter consisted of her shining light in my eyes, checking my ears, and me taking deep breaths. That is no where near what I am accustomed to. I was given a script to get blood work done at the lab. Now I'm being sent a bill because someone messed up (Red flag #5). RUN.... STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE
Perhaps another location may be different. This office is full of mistakes. I want to give Dr. Hunter another chance but I don't think I can. Her supporting cast are to blame.
