Read MoreI have had anxiety for many years, especially at the dentist because about 15 years ago, I had a wisdom tooth pulled, and the job was done so carelessly that I ended up with chronic pain ever since. After seeing many dentists and specialist to try to figure out where the pain was coming from, and having teeth removed and other procedures to try to resolve the problem over the years, I was finally told (for the first time) by Dr. Cua that I had a fractured root on one of my back teeth. I credit their amazing high tech imaging system for being able to detect it. I was referred to Niva by Dr. Cua to remove the tooth and I had another tooth that was fractured removed as well.Because I forgot I wasn’t supposed to drink anything, and I had some tea with almond milk the morning of surgery, I wasn’t able to get the anesthesia. I had to rely solely on the gas! I had an anxiety attack and started crying right there in the chair.Dr. Samy was able to, not only calm me down, but give me enough confidence to go through with the surgery. The kindness and patience of the doctor and his staff got me through it, and I was able to leave with a smile for everyone there in spite of the bloody gauze in my mouth.What would usually be a very traumatic day for me was not so bad because of where I was and who was helping me. I felt very safe the whole time. When I would start to get scared and worry if something was going wrong, (paranoia) I would just pay attention to how precise and professional they were being the whole time, and it would instantly give me faith that I was going to be OK. I don’t usually have so much trust in Doctors, but I definitely trust Dr. Samy and Dr. Cua. They are young, but they are the best! I’ve been through more than a dozen different dental practitioners and specialists, including 2 new ones I tried recently, and none of them have been able to do what they’ve done and make me feel comfortable too.On top of that, the environment is pristine and elegant, the equipment seems to be state of the art. I actually felt a little “underdressed” LolSomething that surprised me was that Dr. Sami himself answered my phone call after hours to help me with a prescription issue!I give Dr. Sami 6 stars
