I would like to start by staying if you are considering seeing this therapist, save yourself the hassle & go elsewhere! This therapist is rude, unprofessional, and by far the worst therapist I’ve ever experienced. My fiancé and I, who are on limited insurance live an hour plus away, but due to insurance have been sent here. Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand is a joke. i attempted seeing Dr. Richard to no success so i went elsewhere. unfortunately my fiancé still tries to go here to which she has had to change therapists & go elsewhere but still sees Dr. Richard in an attempt to have some degree of psychiatry, but to hardly any success. This practice is a joke. After being prescribed multiple different medications such as an ssri from Dr. Richard she called in an attempt to get refills, as we live quite far away, and after reaching the receptionist she is directed to Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand who doesn’t allow her to get ahold of Dr. Richard or when she has attempted to leave her phone number and a message (so he can call her back at his convenience, as any other counselor or doctor in the world normally would) Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand has never once given Dr. Richard the message. In the sessions my fiancé has had with Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand she walked out several times and was not a sound doctor in the slightest. So whatever, my fiancé’s dropped Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand and attempted to just go see Dr. Richard, too which in the following sessions with Dr. Richard, Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand was sitting in on the session attempting to observe someone who is no longer her patient. As my fiancée felt completely uncomfortable with this she asked her to leave to which proceeded in a slight argument which is completely inappropriate between a doctor/counselor and a patient. She then sat with Dr. Richard asking if he ever got the messages she attempted to leave, which she left at least 3, and Dr. Richard didn’t receive a single one which to mention was left with Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand. If i could give 0 stars i would without a doubt. Now i would like to mention that Dr. Richard is not completely to blame, but i’d also like to state that my fiancé withdrew off of ssri’s and other medications for a month (because we didn’t have an adequate ride, again because we live an hour away) which Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand knew about and gave no attempt to help or correct, without even giving Dr. Richard the messages. DO NOT GO HERE, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
