Read MoreI and my mother were both patients and we will not be back. During my first and only appointment, I found Dr. Teuton to be a bit pushy and abrasive. He sounded like he wanted to make himself available to talk about any concerns I had, but would often start talking over me when I tried to raise a concern. He really pushed that they are a birth to death clinic, I’m assuming, in hopes that I move my business to his practice. Not awful, but left a bad taste in my mouth.
My mother had an even worse experience. She had her initial appointment several months ago and filled in her current prescription info on the initial forms. Fast forward to now, and she is having major side effects because the doctor did not thoroughly read the form and prescribed the wrong dosage of her medication. All the while, again, the doctor says he wants to be available and if she needs anything to call and he will see her, but she can’t get an appointment. When she called to address this major concern, she spoke with a nurse who said the doctor would call back and he never did. SHE COULD HAVE DIED because of the side effects that occur with unnecessarily high doses of this medicine. And now, no one even bothers to give a call back. Even during an episode, she tried to call and get in and they had nothing available. She had an appointment in November, tried to get an earlier one, and the soonest they had was December. Clearly this is about quantity of patients and not quality of care. All of this because he didn’t bother to read the forms….unacceptable. I’m not one to write a scathing review - I rarely ever complain unless it is a blatant failure. This was pretty blatant. Either this doctor needs to pay more attention, or he needs to address some major training and communication failures with his staff. This could be a matter of life or death with someone who wasn’t paying attention to their symptoms or is unable to!! Do better!!!
