Let me start off by saying if I could go through the entire process of preparing for and end all doing a colonoscopy every day, I WOULD😌I found Dr. Andrea Culliford in my Insurance’s network of doctors. After reading the reviews about her on Google there was zero doubt in my mind that she would be the best GI doctor for me. The reviews about her from others were so impressive I was impressed and looking forward to my first visit and first colonoscopy experience. Being so fearful of anything dealing with doctors, pain, needles, medical devices, and the prognosis I was actually excited for this visit with Dr. Culliford. My guard went so far down after listening to a YouTube video that Dr. Culliford made outlining her take on what to expect from a colonoscopy done by her. My oh my! She made it look so easy. With my new found courage I called and scheduled an appointment for the initial consultation. My overall office visit was 👍Dr. Culliford was so pleasant, upbeat, loads of smiles, and most of all very encouraging. Made my anxiety go away with her burst of enthusiasm. I liked it mostly when she said “you’ll have the best nap while I just do a thorough house keeping in and around your colon”😊 That to me was therapeutic in a strange way. I left with far less jitters from her office and was anxiously looking forward to the DAY OF. Notable mention to the gentleman who went into details of how to prep, gave me printed materials on what to expect, and verbally conveyed to me how the process was. At that point he gave me the opportunity to ask questions. Kudos to that gentleman. Unfortunately, I forgot his name but he, too, was a burst of enthusiasm and inspiration. The day arrived. Checked in at the location for the colonoscopy. Met a bunch of nurses and in came the most beautiful sight, Dr. Culliford. That smile and that bursting exuberance. She repeated again about having the best nap I’ve ever had while she did some colon housekeeping. Then I quickly drifted into oblivion. The last thing I remembered asking the nurse was “am I falling asleep now?” She said yes and my beauty nap begun. When I woke up, man I felt so rested. No joke. Didn’t feel any discomfort whatsoever. Dr. Culliford was true to her words. BEST NAP I ever had☺️My very first colonoscopy and IT WENT WELL. Thank you from the bottom of my heart or should I say bottom of my colon for making the experience such a pleasant one. I’m looking forward to the routine experience in a few years with your midas touch. To anyone reading this, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Andrea Culliford for your GI needs. She is professional, had impeccable bedside manners with a touch of humor, and undeniably a diamond in the rough. Kudos to you and your staff Dr. Culliford.
