I am sure if it is customary for them to not greet clients when they arrive to the front desk, but I have never been greeted. During my child’s initial referral appointment, Erin Payne PA-C did a wonderful job listening to our concerns and explaining things to both of us in a nice, friendly manner. However, after my child’s blood work at our follow-up, again we were not greeted on arrival. What makes matters worse is that Toni Caniglia FNP treated us like we were stupid. It seem liked she was in a bad mood. She barely went over the results to explain it to us, she merely asked if I looked it. Yes, I did look at it, but I’m not the professional; that’s why we are here for the follow-up. When I asked for her recommendation if my son should keep his epi pen with at all times in addition to having it kept with the school nurse, she responded like I was stupid, “It’s whatever you want….Ook” in a very condescending tone. After we left my child commented that this provider had a bad attitude. Even during the “epi-pen practice” she seemed annoyed. I would NOT recommend seeing Toni Caniglia if you would like an empathetic provider for your first time dealing with allergy specialists.
