I've known Dr. Robert Wetzler for many years, and the complaints against him for bad record keeping, and over prescribing certain opioid medications are matters that need to be balanced in regards to the many patients that hé has seen over many years.
I've suffered from chronic back pain for over 30 years, and Dr. Wetzler is a kind and caring doctor who helped me through my years of debilitating pain, for which I still suffer today.
Anyone's records can be lost, and I don't feel like he can be responsible for this alone, especially considering the amount of patients that hé sees.
The matter of over prescribing opioid medications has to be decided by the patients that suffer from chronic pain such as myself, and ask yourself how much pain you think you can handle without these medications. I myself could not, and along with chronic pain comes depression, which is equally dibilitating. Now consider this factor of depression, along with the chronic pain... It's not a good place to be in life for anyone.
I applaud doctor Wetzler for being as caring as he is, and a good person.
I have nothing bad or negative to say about this man or how he chooses to practice medicine., and I thank him for the years of care that I received from him.
The Hippocratic oath taken by Dr Wetzler was that "The patient first", and I feel he practiced that oath through our his years of practice of medicine.
Dr. Bob( Robert) Wetzler is a very good doctor,, and I have no regrets for the care I received from this doctor.
I only hope more doctors could follow in his footsteps because they would a lot from this man about how the patient should always come first.
Thank you Dr Wetzler for all you have done for me medically, and well as a friend.
Sincerely,
Mr. T. Vito Vitrano
