Read MoreDon’t judge me but I can’t lie - the food here is bangin! Yes, it’s at a gas station. Yes, it’s in the hood. But 2 things: food hits the spot and they are open and serving until 11pm. Service is good too. They are always friendly and don’t mind if you like your food a particular way. I used to be hooked on their chicken tenders and fries (don’t start judging me now, lol) loaded with salt, pepper, ketchup and a lil bbq sauce on the side and their cheesestakes, But now I love their fish platter! It’s $10 for serveral pieces of whiting fish and side of fries. I would have posted a picture of my fish platter but I ate it up so fast, I forgot. So good - but again not so healthy but great for those times I don’t feel like cooking meal but I want something fried. Sometimes the airfryer just don’t cut it. Dip my fish and chicken tenders in a batch of fresh grease! Oh and let me add, all food is cooked to order and is served in a to go box piping hot!! Love that. By the time I get home, it’s still hot! Oh and the fries. They are the thick crinkle kind. They also make breakfast foods, hoagies, cheesesteaks in all variations, and a bunch of other menu options. But no pork. You can call and place your order too! And just like any other corner store tons of chips, snacks, candy, fresh muffins, sodas and juices, toilet paper, and other things you may need around the house to make due until you get to a larger store. The only draw back is the location (hence the 4 stars). If you are not comfortable in the hood (I hate that I have to mention this) then 1) go during the day; 2) send someone else who is; 3) call and order, then go in and get out; or 4) skip this adventure. No one will bother you but I can understand your concerns. Nevertheless, this Surburban girl will be back!
