I selected the "87" gas but somehow, I was charged by No. 89 plus gas according to the receipt indicated. I went to talk to the staff. His first answer was :" 87 is plus.". I told him that “87” is not the “plus” and politely asked him to walk to the pump and check it out. When we got to the pump, he said :" OK. Then, you must push the wrong button. Nothing I can do here." The "87" gas button is on the right-hand side and in RED. I knew that I did NOT push the 89 plus one which is the button in the middle of the three buttons. I suggested that I pump again in front him, and we can check the result. The staff totally lost his temper and yelled at me saying "Oh, I know what you are going to do. You are going to accuse me. You know what, don’t even try it." and walked away. I went back to the store and asked to talk to the manager. The manager kept bringing up that "They don't control the pump and they didn't do anything to make this happen." The manager also said the pump only gives you gas when you select/push the button. Otherwise, it will not give you anything. I told him that "Yeah, I understood that. That is why I think the pump has issues. I selected the "87" but the receipt indicated that I was charged by the "89 plus". Then, the manager said :" Okay. Do you know what the tiny amount difference between these two different gasses?" I told him that I know and with the total amount I added, it is not a big deal. But it is WRONG that the guest would have to be charged by something which should not be. That is the point. The manager finally said "okay, I will give you the amount of the difference if you like". The staff handed me the money in an ugly etiquette. And, the manager elevated his voice and said "Wow, such a super women. SUPER" in a very very very rude, passive-aggressive, and sarcastic way.
Now, since I am writing this review. It occurred to me that from the beginning to the end, I had never said, meant, implied, or questioned that they did it. I was just literally reflecting what I experienced to the staff and the manager. However, somehow, both staff and manager were so into "We didn't do it. We don't control it" by themselves which made me feel very strange and sketchy now. I can’t help thinking that with what kind of circumstances, people would be so eager to try to self-demonstrate that “They didn’t do it. It is out of their control.” when the “victim” didn’t even think or tried to think that “they” are the factors to cause it. Isn’t that interesting?
BTW, the price they indicated on the big electric Sign is 10 cents lower than what it really is on the pump.
Anyway, takeaway here. Please take and check your receipt. Even one of your pennies counts. Don’t get frauded.
