Read MoreLast week, I went with one of my parents and my sibling to Reyes BarberShop. We booked a haircut appointment with Jessica P. My sibling and I had our haircuts done by her for quite a long time now, and Jessica always does such a great job! It is worth any cost, distance, and drive to ensure that our hair is taken care of by an experienced and friendly professional. Most importantly, one that we can always trust!
Personally, I have never seen her at this location before. However, I would consider Reyes BarberShop as very clean upon my first impressions. There was a bit of a wait until our scheduled time, so we sat and enjoyed the comfort of the seats. I would say it is more comfortable than some other places I have been to! I thought the atmosphere was nice too—there are many interesting pictures and decorations to look at.
As for my haircut, I request about the same style every time. I cut my hair about once a year, so at this point it was quite long (mid-back). I did not realize it at the time, but it was quite heavy on my head and neck. It did not help for the recent summer heat! We decided on cutting it to about an armpit-length.
I also showed some of my inspiration pictures from before. Jessica kept all of this in mind and helped even out my V-cut to something more straight across. I would say my requested style was mostly similar to a Hush Cut while also taking some inspiration from a Hime hairstyle. In addition to that, I wanted to keep—but clean and trim up—my long layers.
While getting my haircut, it was nice to talk with Jessica and listen to her talk with my family, too. Before I get my haircut, I tend to feel a bit nervous about the change, but she always helps to greatly relaxes the mood by just being herself. I agree with another review that she is a great person to chat with! It feels like it goes by quite quickly!
After it was completed, I could not believe the amount of hair on the floor. With each cut, my head felt so much lighter. It really is crazy how much can grow on your head in a year! I walked out feeling confident, happy, and refreshed with my new hairstyle! It has been great having my hair shorter now!
I always look forward to having my hair cut by her! I would love to return to Reyes BarberShop in the future!
