After waiting for almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. Was finally assisted by a pharmacist Andrea. The pharmacist then informed me that they asked people to wait 15 minutes after vaccination, which I agreed to. I asked for my vaccination documents back, but was told that they ask that I wait 15 minutes. Again, I asked for my vaccination documents, but was refused. I asked several more times before finally having to say that I wanted my documents back and that the refusal was causing me anxiety.
Horrible, horrible experience. Andrea, keeping people's documents, even temporarily; is illegal.
Why is CVS, allowing this.
I called in and spoke to CVS support staff 800 number. I later got a call back from a woman claiming to be a supervisor. The woman I spoke to sounded extremely young and did not seem to understand the concept of personal property and the fact that when property was not returned that it was considered the same as holding the property against the will of the property owner. Multiple courts have ruled that by holding an important piece of property you are effectively holding the individual. The person I spoke to did admit that it was a very bad practice and assured me that the pharmacist would be told to stop immediately.
After this strange conversation with this supervisor… I called back into CVS support staff 800 number, again explaining the situation and asking for Sennett Han - District Leader - CVS to call me. I again detailed that it was unsafe to hold people's vaccination documents and that I would like someone from CVS Corp to call me, I was told it was all handled through the District Leader and that there was no way to advise anyone else.
This pharmacist’s practice of holding the vaccination documents for 15 minutes without the expressed permission of the client is illegal.
