No. First and last time visit. I've been going and buying music at record stores in many different cities around the country since 1986 or about so I think this review has merit.
This is probably thee WORST record store I have ever been to. Yes it is that bad!
The young blonde girl working the counter wouldn't greet me. I waved to her to simply let her know I walked in and she ignored me. Finally when she did she looked up and had this annoyed look like she was mad I was bothering her. Wish i would have walked back out. That was probably my cue. The place is a total mess. Completely disorganized with stacks of stuff everywhere. It's like they get stuff and then just drop it anywhere they think it will fit. No control or organizational skills. It had this overwhelming effect on myself and quite possibly the sales clerk. And it's not just records all over it's video game cartridges, old record players, old stereo stuff. It looks like they go to garage sales and then bring stuff back and then jack up the price 5 to 10 times what they paid for it. Which is fine but I would never buy an 8 track player or a dirty old turntable there based on the fact that they stack this stuff up all over the place. You wouldn't know if any of it has fallen over. No care for really anything it seems. And that's really sad. Records are massively overpriced at roughly 30 to 80 dollars or more a piece so buying 2 records could cost you easily 75 to 100 dollars or more. I checked discogs when I got home and could have got one of the records for half the price that they wanted. $70 for 2 records and a laserdisc with a $1.99 clearance discount sticker from Amoeba but they wanted $20. Unreal.🙄
I realize the older I get the more organization I demand with my shopping experiences. This place can not facilitate that. Bad experience. Gave them one shot. Will not return.
P.s. I included a picture of the laserdiscs they have in the back. The top row you can't even get to without stretching way over the rack. Not worth bothering. One of the records I purchased has slight scratches. I should have checked. My fault there. When you walk into a place like this and see how dirty, disorganized and how the lack of care is seen in their environment it's probably going to be a huge reflection in the quality of the items they sell also.
I read some of the replies from the owner and his son. A nasty "punker" attitude and a dirty store kind of goes hand in hand I guess. Treat the community like garbage and you'll be relying more and more on your questionable discogs sales. I'll be looking for your page there. I can already imagine the negative feedback I'll find.
Goodbye.
P.s. playing one of my records I got from this crap store a week later. Warped as hell.😡🤬
