Sadly, this was my first and last visit since the store is closing at the end of the month. Karyn was incredibly helpful, professional, and patient with me. Unfortunately, there was a young woman in the store who was a nuisance to everyone, including Karyn—she was rude, demanding extra discounts, claiming the music was too loud because she had a concussion she supposedly got an hour earlier (as someone in the medical field, I know that’s questionable), and she left the fitting room in a mess.
After she left, Karyn assisted me with such grace, gave me a brief history of Marcella and Camfed, and educated me about the fabrics. She truly went above and beyond.
I read the most recent review that ended with, “Honestly, this experience is indicative as to why brick-and-mortar businesses are dying. Why would anyone put themselves through that when they can just buy it online?” Sorry, Cheryl—we, the customers, have to do better. Clearly, someone hasn’t worked in customer service face-to-face.
I wish the Marcella SF team all the best!
