It's somewhere between a Costco and Safeway in size, has a diverse selection of food products and a decent selection of toiletries etc. as well as some other non-grocery items, but they don't always have the same things or brands, and they may be missing certain varieties of flavors of something or only have one product in a line, etc.
(I'm assuming that's due to them being a discount store and the nature of their purchasing... They must be buying products on discount somewhere from a wholesaler or reseller and you don't always get to pick the assortment or what you want, just like any other sale to a consumer.)
Most of the items in the store and there are quite a number of items are at a reasonable or low price, some of them are screaming deals and some of them are regular or slightly overpriced.
The staff in general seems competent and friendly enough with the exception of a manager who almost threw me out of the store because I was looking for a trash can to throw a coffee cup awayHe approached me with instant hostility and would not listen to one word I would say or stop screaming or literally calling me stupid because I tried to throw out a coffee cup in a trash can that was for trash instead of throwing it on the ground inside the store.
He also said that people should not have any beverages while they are shopping anywhere and if you wanted a cup of coffee you should sit in a chair where you purchased it until done and only throw the cup away there. I found him extremely strange for a number of reasons. was waving his arms around and yelling, insulting me and my intelligence even though my 2 friends and I had 3 shopping carts of groceries totaling about $400 between us.
Overall you would spend less money here for the same amount of food as somewhere like Safeway, but you may not get exactly what you were looking for. You might also be surprised and find some new product or brand that you've never seen or some food item you've never tried.
Fairly clean store, fairly Central and convenient location bus stops right there and plenty of parking.
