Staff did the best they could, but unfortunately no one could help assist me by phone or in person; FedEx customer service was equally as unhelpful.
Tried to cancel shipment over the phone 20min after visiting main office to make said shipment. I was told over the phone that it was all handled, that I should expect a phone call shortly afterwards about refund, and that item would arrive to return address after 5pm. Called the next day to verify and they said they had no record of cancellation and that to even begin the cancellation process I would need a FedEx Account number, which also requires a credit card (not a debit card) in order to sign up. Representative could not make account over the phone due technical difficulties, so I was told to visit main office to do so. At the main office I was told that there was no way for them to help me create an account, or to cancel shipment. I was all set to leave when staff member said oh nevermind, they were somehow able to stop the shipment and then they printed me out a receipt. I was so thankful to them!
Unfortunately, the next day when I checked the tracking number again to see if it was on its way back, shipment was still on route to previous location and I was also charged a second time for shipping. Called customer service again to see what was up, they said no, that they had no indication that package was cancelled and because invoice was not received by them at that time, I’d have to call back again in a few days to ask about the second charge.
Also, no one could answer my question as to why FedEx in Puerto Rico, as it’s a US territory, charges domestic shipping in order to ship from PR to the US, while shipping items from the US to Puerto Rico, you are charged International shipping? I know this because friends of mine who live in PR, were shocked as to why I was even charged international to begin with. My tracking info says US to the US.
Anyways. I’m so frustrated and sad. I’ll think again before shipping with them again.
