I was greeted by three different reps while I was there and they were all very kind and had a smile on their faces. I walked in just to meet Ally. Ended up walking out with a new guitar. I plan to return and I live in Reno.

Blows guitar center out of the water in everyway. After 3 diffeeent trade ins and 3 new basses I'll only come here for any business. Micah handled everything from the trade to the setting up of my new basses. I have a specific setup I like and he got it EXACTLY right each time. Thoroughly explained the process and what each step was along the way. How much each item I sold to them was worth and how he got to that price. Not only that but after guitar center telling me they had no availability for a simple output jack replacement for a friend I got it handled here by Eric within 20 minutes. Which is no where near enough time to look at all the instruments they have to offer. All ranges, all types, and they handle special orders super simple and to the point. Only coming here from now on.

Only been to skips music a few times, always a good experience. Went in to just look around, just happened to have the guitar I've been looking at for a few months hanging on the shelf. Asked Chad for some help to get it off the top rack for me. He gave me some details about the deals they had going on on some of the models including the one I was interested in. Ended up being to good of a deal to pass up so went home with my first Gibson. Thanks again Chad for all the help and info and making the experience awesome.

I bought my son a guitar from guitar center last month for his birthday (never again) and within weeks it was losing connection. It had a loose jack and even worse issues inside we were unaware of. I called Skips. Spoke to Eric who instantly wanted to help since my son’s first show was 24 hours away. I was so panicked because of it and needed to get it fixed immediately. He got the guitar apart and began to work on it right away. Eric was so friendly. So helpful. So knowledgeable. And he had it fixed, beautifully put back together and tuned in an hour and a half. We are Skips loyal customers from now on. No guitar center ever again. I am just so thankful for Eric and his insane expertise. Thank you so much if you see this. You made our day. We will definitely be back!

I was looking for something to connect my turntable to my PC to record some vinyl to digital. I had a little bit of an idea what I was looking for, but wasn't 100% sure. I went into Skips on New Years Day and was helped by Matt. He was super helpful and got me all dialed in with what I needed to make it all work. He assisted me with buying a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96 and all the cables needed to make it work. Amazing customer service!!! I am not a musician, but I enjoy listening to music. Thanks for all the help, and look forward to the next project.

This music store has always done me right. From guitar string replacement to buying a guitar, their personnel always guide me to the right product. They are moving to a different location so the mom and pop’s fee will be surely missed.

I love the atmosphere and all of the colors of the instruments are beautiful ❤️! I take violin classes there and I love my teacher she is so sweet and helpful. The staff there is super nice and we go often. My only problem is they don't have parts for the violin or anything related to them. But that's fine because we went there to get a part for my violin and they didn't have it and they recommended a place that had violins and we went there and they had the part. I encourage you to take music classes no matter the age.

Purchased a used guitar amp. Didn't work when I presented it to one of my students. Took it back and the guitar tech repaired it.
Today the student was playing it and it just stopped producing sound.
I brought it back to the store and the tech looked at it again. He didn't trust it. The manager came over and said "You have had problems with this amp and that is unacceptable to me."
He looked around the store and came back and gave me three options to replace the amp.
We looked at all three. He played on each of them to demonstrate the sound sets.
He asked me to pick one. I did. I asked how much I owned for it as it was more than what I paid for the original amp.
He said "nothing. We are going to call this a wash for all of the trouble you have had with this amp (the first one purchased) and that is not ok with me."
Sure enough he brought out the amp make/model that we tried on the floor. Only it was brand new in the box. Unopened.
I can not say enough good for the wonderful customer service that they showed me today.
Thank you for having honesty, integrity, and wonderful customer service

Recently, Eric took the time to check out my wet/dry set-up. I had some concerns with the outboard pedal design. This has been an involved process getting everything set up to this point on my own. It is a journey finding your sound as an artist. I greatly appreciated the time and attention graciously given to put a few key concerns to rest. I’ve been a long time customer and many of the pedals on the board were purchased from skips. That being said, not all shops would be willing or have the knowledge to assist with such a set-up.
