I was in Death Valley in June, 1970. It was 124 degrees. We had to keep the heat on in the car to try to vent and cool the engine. Stick your head out the window of the moving car... it felt like a hair dryer blowing in your face on high, close up. Anyone who stays in this location to sell gas to travelers... deserves a bonus/premium on the gas price! If they are open... and selling gas... service is excellent... I don't care how high the price, how dirty the bathrooms may be!
