We drove 3.5 hours to look at a toyhauler that Moe from SGH RV said was in good condition. When we arrived, we immediately found that the trailer had major issues. Moe had told me it had “minor” surface rust on a part of the frame, but the frame was completely rusted. Every piece of metal on the exterior was rusted or had bubbling paint. The LPG gas lines were rusted to the point that they posed a safety hazard. Although he had pics and a video in the FB marketplace ad, he deliberately avoided all areas of damage, including holes in the walls and compartment doors. He asked if I had seen his video on YouTube, which he never mentioned in the ad, text, or conversation, and I still couldn’t find it after the fact. The trailer batteries were dead, and it’s clear this trailer had been neglected. It also holds a Texas title and was likely a flood recovery, but Moe insisted a clean title means it wasn’t. In reality, a clean title means it just didn’t go through insurance as a salvage, and it’s clear from interior damage this trailer had water in it. Had we known the true condition, we never would have driven all the way down there to drive back empty handed. He told me that I expected a “perfect trailer,” but we just wanted something that was useable/solid and would be great with the minor TLC that every used trailer needs. Buyer beware of the seller…he has earned this review!
