Worst experience I’ve ever had renting. We were there a year. In that year, our fridge quit on us 7 times and we lost a LOT of food each time as they took days for them to try to actually fix the issue. Same issues every time. It’d stop freezing/cooling out of nowhere and sometimes it’d start back, sometimes not. They finally bought a new fridge to replace it once, and it quite obviously was too big for the unit so they took it back & brought me a dirty used one with ROACHES in it which resulted in having bugs in the unit. Have the videos in my phone of them crawling around IN it after it was brought. When I asked them to come spray, he was in there about a minute each time and it did nothing. I had to pay an exterminator out of my own pocket due to them bringing some old nasty fridge (which also quit). I finally went to Facebook asking advice after all the money we lost on groceries repeatedly because after really complaining they offered..$50.. Literally the same week we had spent $400+ that got ruined. It was not enough. The maintenance manager finally agreed half off of rent one month through text. Rent came around and they denied ever saying it and threatened to evict me if I did not pay all of rent. Luckily, I had it in text so after going back & fourth, they had to honor it. In response to this, we got a letter in the mail late December (in pandemic) stating they were “choosing to not renew the lease” and we had to be out by January 31st. The maintenance manager admitted it was actually due to him being upset over my Facebook post why he no longer wanted us there. Don’t know how they saw it, it was a personal post on my page. So in mid pandemic we had slightly over a month to up and move with a 3 year old and me being 30 weeks pregnant. It was very hard to find something available that soon, during covid and with being out of work because i had also told them I was out 2 weeks in January due to covid and asked for just a little more time and said I’d pay rent if i could have a month or two to get money right and find something.. they declined and said I still needed to be out by the 31st. Not working with us at all. when we always paid rent, never gave them trouble, never any disturbances out there. They said we kept the unit very clean and great condition. It looked perfect when we left, aside from some blinds slightly messed up. It’s on the move out inspection papers. We scrubbed the whole unit. After having to come up with moving costs in 1 month, (missing an entire paycheck plus commission check from covid), I told them upfront I would not be able to pay $2000 to move plus $625 in rent this month. They said just to let them know when we were ready for the move out inspection to “ensure I got my deposit back ASAP”. It was said on 3 calls, and the day of inspection they said they’d have my check written out that Wednesday and I could pick it up. Wednesday passed and I tried contacting them a few times. I finally got in touch Thursday, she said she would call me back. I got an email hours later stating I would not be getting any of my deposit back. So they also blatantly lied to us in our faces making it seem like we would get some of our deposit back (which we DEEPLY needed bc im also about to be out for maternity.. after being out for covid). I went up to speak with the executive director and asked why I was lied to when they already knew my situation the entire time. He kept repeating that he himself didn’t say it and didn't know anyone did.
I’ve had lots of people i know looking around for housing, and at this point i would not recommend this company to anyone. I’ll be sure to let everyone I know, know how this company decides to do business. Very poorly.
