I give 2 stars, because Hibernia no longer felt like the place for us or like home.... Sure my husband and I don't make it over there all the time, but that's because of the type of job he has sometimes has him working on the weekends! So therefore we can't always make it there in person! No one checked in on us except for one maybe two people... And when we did make it there no one greeted us like they do everyone else! The pastor and other ministers there seem to only talk to those in their inner circle, the minister who baptizedy husband when we joined, no longer comes up to talk to us or greet us whenever we do see him , instead he acts like we aren't there then walks past us to someone else.... The welcome committee only opens the door for you and says hello which is fine but they don't do anything else that considered being welcoming like ask how one is doing or to show you where you need to go if your new or haven't been there in a while... Don't get me wrong the music is good and the lessons that are preached on are good too but I'm sad to say that it's hard to feel the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, in there at times and sometimes it feels as if they do what they do for show... We went to two Church functions and no one invited us to sit with them in order to get to know is orfor us to get to know them... And one time it took someone from one of the Bible study groups almost 2years to realize we hadn't been visiting their Sunday school class in a while me Brian Phillips and his wife are the only two who really go out of their way to make others feel welcome and were the only ones to call my husband and I or text us to see how we've been whenever we miss a few Sundays.... So now we're once again looking for another church to call home! I grew up in church my whole life and not once have I felt so disappointed in the people who go to church like I do with the ones who are of Hibernia baptist church!they don't seem to practice some of the things they been preaching onas much as when we first started going there and this last time, some acted as if they've never seen us before and some didn't even come to say hello how are you and ask what's been up.. I get Hibernia is a big church but they're not so welcoming as they use to be! And that makes me sad!
