Citadel of Hope Ministries

I originally joined this ministry back in January 2000 and was a member for 17 years. After my divorce, I really needed a change and moved away. I had not even had a visit since early 2018. I was recently in The Villages (love my Villagers for real for real) and my plans were to head out of town by Saturday. As it is custom in this journey called life, my plans were thwarted and I ended up having to delay my return. So I got up early and visited my peeps over at Village Park FBC! Pastor Lea always be cracking me up while teaching The Word and I love the fellowship and love I feel every time I visit without fail. After service, my intentions were to head back to my Airbnb and rest a little before getting on the road but I had a VERY STRONG feeling that I couldn't shake leading me to visit Citadel of Hope. So I left Village Park and headed straight there. It was great seeing so many familiar faces and the worship was great. The best part was that this service was the 1st service of a Prayer Revival!!!! I ain't even know but the Spirit always knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and where we need to be in order to receive it. I'm not going into too much detail (even though I know y'all would love all the deets), let me just say, I was able to really receive the completion of my healing as a divorcee at the same altar where I had said, I Do. I did not know that's what I needed but God always does. I didn't know that here would be the altar I would release my broken hopes and dreams. My heart was healed, all was completely forgiven, and my hopes and dreams that my latter is truly going to be greater than my former were restored. I felt it with everything within me. Sometimes you don't know what is still left inside of you that remains broken until God puts it back together anew. That's what my experience was like this past Sunday. I've read and quoted the scripture, "Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you" maybe times but this was the first time that I experienced living out this scripture. I'm so grateful to Dr. Precious for "coming to get me" and walk with me, kneel alongside of me, cry out to God with and for me at the altar. Listen: If y'all got a First Last who ain't willing to personally come get you, hug you while you cry and get your make up all over her snow white linen dress...then you're not at the right Ministry. You might want to head on over to the Citadel and experience it for yourself. I also want to acknowledge my gratitude for the Leader of the house, Apostle Dannie Williams. When you have a leader that is sensitive to shift a service to align with what God wants while abandoning their sermon and the usual, so that God can do the unusual...you know you're not listening to a novice. Apostle Williams was transparent and vulnerable and shared how there was something a little off in his passion for God. (So I'm gone interject a sidebar right here because some of y'all may have just grabbed your pearls in disbelief. Listen Linda...if you believe that any leader is perfect and above human feelings and void to life's experiences, you aren't living in the real world. Now that I said what I said, let's get back to this review). And after such a confession, announced that he would not be preaching today but the service would be a time for prayer so that we could seek God's face at the altar. Let me just say this, if you weren't there, you haven't missed it completely because he also announced that the month of September would be a month of praying and that this service was the first service of the Prayer Revival!!! If you can get to one of these Prayer Revival meetings, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO. Not because I once was a member, but because I know for sure that you will experience God in a way that you never have before. Drive, hitch a ride, or even walk while believing God will lay it on someone's heart to give you a ride the rest of the way (Yeah, I said walk if you must because there have been plenty of days when I did just that myself). I would do whatever you must to get there!!!

Hey Guys I'm BACK, with a wonderful review! This time it's for the wonderful pleasure of reviewing and telling you all about my GREAT church. At the Citadel, we are a family. I have pastors who not only love you, but love you very hard, and ones who are willing to walk with you through the most difficulties in life. Eleven or so years ago when our family became a part of the Citadel family, what truly resonated within us, that this was certainly the place to join, was what he said from the pulpit during benediction. What Apostle Williams said was: "Should anyone like to join, we would love for you to become a part......I ask that you allow us one year of your life, that we may impart the word of God into you. And after that, you take your own inventory, to see how you've been impacted by the word of God. We did just that, and our lives have never been the same. For us, we needed a strong Man and Woman of God who was FULL OF FAITH, and FAITHFUL to the Kingdom of God, but most importantly, we wanted to be a part of a bible believing church, and you guys we found it here at the CITADEL. EVERY-TIME I attend Citadel of Hope the Word that is preached is all in my life. I never have to feel like I am away from my home church... because it feels like home. I can go to the alter and fall on my face and I will not feel out of place. I love that the Pastors and Elders think it not beneath them to worship prostrate with their congregations. I will be back when ever I am in Leesburg.

I had to come to Leesburg because my mom is the hospital having some test performed..I really wanted to go to church this morning .but got on the road this morning..when I arrived they were taking mom to her procedure so I was able to attend service with TWO of my nieces and nephew aaannnddd my grand niece new grand nephew . Not only was i greeted with smiles from the ushers ...members of the congregation hugged me...The message was powerful and I left the service feeling spiritually full. I will be back...God bless you all.
