What a disgrace, embarrassment and above all A LACK OF RESPECT that was shown by the pastor and his board of “counsel”!
Not a single person was invited to weigh in on the decision. Not a single person, BESIDES THE PASTOR, chose to close the center for the month of April. Not a single staff member was given the respect of notification they would no longer be able to contribute to the livelihood of their household. Not a single parent was asked if they planned on having their children return once the PASTOR decided to open up the center again that HE CLOSED.
PURE LACK OF RESPECT AND COMPASSION for our community! They claim it was due to finances, but look at the recent bus purchase and other allocation of funds, I’m sure you’ll find something. When asked if they would lease the building, they denied it. There is something else going on, and I might be damned for saying it, but IT IS NOT THROUGH God’s WILL!
What a poor representation of what the Bible teaches us, and even a poorer representation of a community figure! You hurt your own community! You hurt your own employees! Yet you say you are a place that represents God?!?!
Open up your last 6 month finances and prove the burden, the reallocation of funds and the documentation backing how this was the right move. Then pray God forgives you for how you spit on your fellow man, how you potentially damned those who were expecting a steady job and how you’ve forced parents to seek out alternative care without due regard.
If this is how a church is ran, via a dictatorship and non-involvement with the ones it effect, how can it be a house of God?
