Read MoreThe staff here is fantastic, and Steven Joseph was excellent. I've been staying here off and on for about nine years, and I recently stayed in one of the renovated rooms. This is the reason for the low rating, and whoever the designer is for the new rooms, and whomever approved the design, should be fired immediately.
The rooms look nice but the noise the ceiling fan makes when you turn it on or adjust it, is like a smoke detector going off in the middle of the night. It's also hard to see the buttons. The router in the rooms is so bright and flashed so often, it distracts from sleep. The bathroom lights come on when you walk in which you might think is nice, but at 2 AM, every single light in the bathroom comes on and it's so bright it shocks you into being completely awake. If that weren't bad enough, the timer shuts the light off half way through a shower, so you have to wave a towel at it to get the lights back on. In the shower there are no racks for any hygiene items, no place for women to rest their legs, or anything...but at least you'll be in the dark so you won't notice. IF that weren't bad enough, the toilet seats are loose and so thin they remind you of a trailer park. Mine broke when I sat on it. There also used to be 2 free waters in the room, but now there are only $6 dollar waters, and I'm a platinum elite.
My company would be reserving about 200 nights a year here, but I can't see utilizing this hotel until they figure out how to fix all of these issues. To management, what were you thinking....seriously.
