I just want to express my deepest gratitude, shout it from the rooftops & publicly declare there are still genuine people of integrity in this world, one of which is Jamie Kay. I was only searching for a lawyer who could help me with a 12 year old FTA DUI case, in which I could not physically travel to WY, yet needed to address this "monkey on my back". The FTA had placed a hold on my driver's license in my home state, and I could not reinstate my license because of this issue. Terrified of the possibility of jail time, or having to plead guilty to simply "get it over with", I had "stuffed" the problem away for years, yet cannot do so anymore. Though I am almost 11 years sober, I now also conceded to the fact that I may have to admit guilt, without accurately defending myself, and have a current DUI legally on my record. The thought of this is devastating when you have remained sober for so long, but must accept the fastest & easiest way to resolve the issue at hand. I contacted many law firms, spoke to many assistants & had quite a few consultations. I was prepared for the worst, yet still torn inside by the easy solution & suggestion by the majority, which was to pay a fine/essentially plead guilty. Then there was Jamie… She took the time to speak with me, made me feel valued & provided me with a different possible outcome. Through the countless conversations I had, not one of the assistants or lawyers I had spoken with, presented me with the possibility that my case may had been dismissed after all these years. Jamie did though… She was literally driving a gravel road home from work, taking all of my information down and filled me with hope. My decision was solidified through our conversation & I was fully prepared to pay the retainer cost necessary to Nick Carter law firm, though the only contact I had was with Jamie Kay. I had not disclosed my decision with her however… In the years of experience she had, she told me she had seen many cases dismissed after a long period of time & would be happy to contact the courts for me. She did not recommend a consultation, nor was she ready to take my credit card information for a retainer fee like the other law firms had done, she was ready to genuinely help me. She did not have her "hand out", ready to swipe the credit card over the phone. Jamie was under no obligation to help me, after all, I was only a potential client. She was prepared, however, to go the extra mile for me, as she was aware I was terrified to contact the court myself. I feared jailtime, perhaps losing my job, and more costs associated with the travel to WY. Jamie called the court for me, payed the cost to the records department for archived paperwork which declared my case had been dismissed many years before, contacted the records department at the WY DOT, e-mailed all necessary information/paperwork/provided a link so I may pay the reinstatement fee directly to WY DOT, and offered EVEN MORE help to me, if unforeseeable problems may arise with the department of transportation reinstatement process. My initial contact with Jamie was Friday. Years of worry & unnecessary stress have been lifted from me as of this Monday morning. Everything she did for me was all done immediately, within a couple of hours into my work schedule. My entire case is dismissed, I paid my reinstatement fee of $50 to WY DOT, and I am not responsible for any fees for her services for me. The characteristics that Jamie possesses cannot be forced or faked, she is 100% my hero, and a truly & uniquely honest individual. I highly & whole heartedly recommend her & Nick Carter law firm to anyone I may know now, or in the future for legal representation.
