Good guac and chips with your choice of spice level. Plenty of small plates that are big enough to share. I often come for the tacos that don’t disappoint. Good Mexican option when down in Penn Quarter attending a show or just walking around.

Really delicious food, lots of small plates to share. Much more variety than you would get in an average Mexican restaurant. Our favourite was the cauliflower dish. Very busy and loud, creates a good atmosphere but would definitely recommend booking. We came for my parents...Read More

A truly unforgettable dining experience! Oyamel takes Mexican cuisine to a whole new level. The food is exquisite — delicious, beautifully presented, and deeply rooted in authentic, pre-Hispanic ingredients. The handmade tortillas alone are worth the visit, and every dish reflects the care and tradition behind...Read More

Fantastic food. Service a little slow even during mid week. Expect to stay for 1-2 hours to enjoy the nicely curated food and beverages. Great for small to even large groups. Book in advance

I am always a little skeptical of "high-end" Mexican food restaurants because it can be had so cheaply at fast food places as the core ingredients (cheese, tortillas, ground beef, beans) are usually the same. Booked about 4 days out for a Friday night...Read More
