Great Service, but the Food Falls Short
I recently visited PK Shabu in Mesa, and while the experience was decent, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to assist with anything we needed, and it deserves four stars.
However, when it comes to the food, I’d rate it three stars. They offer a variety of meats, vegetables, and even sushi, which is nice in theory. But unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite hit the mark. The vegetable selection wasn’t very appealing, and the meat was chewy.
In my photo, the spread looks great, but in reality, the flavors are lacking. The broth—I got the Mala one—was quite bland and didn’t add much to the meal.
All in all, while PK Shabu offers a lot of options and fantastic service, the food could use a boost in both quality and flavor.
